We offer several payment methods that you can choose when you confirm your order. These include standard credit/debit card payment, PayPal, Alma pay in 3 instalments and Alma pay later (payment at D+30), as well as other options available in Belgium and Germany.

Alma: pay in instalments
Payment in instalments via Alma is available for any purchase of €40 or more.
The total amount will be split into 3 parts: you pay 1/3 of the total on the day of your order, the second third will be charged the following month, and the final third the month after. Alma will show you the payment dates and respective amounts, and you can track your upcoming instalments through Alma.
From 12 February 2022, payment in 3 instalments or deferred payment (30 days) includes fees charged within the legal usury rate.
For these 2 payment methods, the fees paid by the customer are 1.5% of the purchase amount.
Alma: pay later (D+30)
On the day of your purchase, you pay nothing. The charge will be processed 30 days after the order date. Alma will show you the exact payment date when you confirm your order.
From 12 February 2022, payment in 3 instalments or deferred payment (30 days) includes fees charged within the legal usury rate.
For these 2 payment methods, the fees paid by the customer are 1.5% of the purchase amount.
Is payment in 3 instalments also available in store?
Yes! It's available in all our Le Petit Lunetier stores for purchases of €150 or more, and only for French bank cards.
Can I get reimbursed by my insurance and social security for my prescription glasses even if I pay in instalments or at D+30?
Yes! The payment method you choose does not affect your eligibility for health insurance and mutual insurance reimbursement. So you can pay by card, PayPal, in instalments or at D+30 and still claim reimbursement from your insurer.
Paying in instalments can help you avoid large upfront costs and receive your reimbursement before you've paid the full order amount, depending on your insurer's processing times.
How does the refund work if I return my order?
Payment in instalments still allows you to benefit from the exchange and refund conditions set out on our website here.
For any refund request, a pro rata will be calculated based on the amount due in upcoming instalments.
The 1.5% fee is not refunded.
Example:
You purchased €150 worth on 1 August.
- €50 was charged on 1 August at purchase, €50 is charged on 1 September and €50 on 1 October.
- If you request a €60 refund, the 1 October instalment will not be charged, and the 1 September instalment will only be €40.
- If you request a full €150 refund, the first instalment is refunded to your account (€50), and the next two instalments are cancelled.
