The Second Chance! project embodies a bold initiative aimed at giving new life to our brand's used glasses.
By collecting, rehabilitating, and redistributing these glasses via the Lions Club association, we aspire to improve the quality of life for people in need while strengthening our ecological commitment.
Giving a second life to glasses by distributing them to people in need. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), approximately 2.5 billion people worldwide suffer from visual impairment, 65% of which could be avoided or treated.
THE LIONS CLUB ASSOCIATION
The Lions Club is an international association of volunteers working to improve the sight and quality of life of people in need, particularly in developing countries. At the heart of its mission is the collection and distribution of used glasses, offering a second chance to these valuable tools and restoring sight to those who have lost its use.
HOW IT WORKS
1. DROP OFF YOUR OLD PAIRS IN-STORE
Go to the store to drop off the pairs of Le Petit Lunetier glasses you no longer use. They will be sent to our workshop in Paris.
We only take back pairs of glasses from our brand because we have the expertise and spare parts to refurbish them.
2. REFURBISHMENT
Once received at our workshop, we take care of refurbishing the glasses: changing the temples, nose pads, and deep cleaning.
3. SENDING TO THE LIONS CLUB
We will send the like-new pairs of glasses to the Lions Club association, which will be responsible for distributing them to people in need.
